she was the greatest female Native American painter. don't know if museums in the east have much of her work but she's in the Heard & other key southwest collections.
I only met her once. it was Indian Market the summer of 1998. I was startld to see such a famous artist operating a booth there. I bought some lovely cards from her & she was so sweet -- getting a little bag which she slippd them into.
