my houseguest

John Grimes grew up in Key West where he was Tennessee Williams' paperboy. many years later I heard him in the orchestra of Lake George Opera for a performance of "Summer and Smoke."

John is a world-class musician   currently with Boston Baroque. we've been catching up on synchronicities. which also means dealing with ghosts which is a juggle of sad & happy.

AWW... Rancho de Chimayo! I went to dinner there before prom (once upon a time), had an engagement celebration dinner there with friends right before I left SF to get married, and my best friend proposed to his wife there.

not to imply anything romantic or impending nuptial on regards to your dinner. It just made me think of that is all.

"the orchestra of Lake George Opera..."

Wow. The Adirondacks-- a huge part of my past (Saranac Lake, Tupper Lake, Lake Placid...) I spent part or all of every summer of my life there until I was about 30. I hadn't been there since then until last summer, when I returned for a family reunion. I have dozens of cousins that live in upstate NY.

Just the thought of the place warms my heart!
