saw her twice, the first was in a Chicago bar with two dear now gone friends. She came on wearing a house dress and was great great great. The place was packed, and everyone was standing and moving to her great music. We stayed for both shows. The 2nd time was an evening of 4 female blues singers, irma thomas, ruth brown, etta james and koko at Lincoln Center. Needless to say it was a memorable evening. The great Etta was the last to perform and she did her gig in barefeet. Love that Etta. Rest in Peace dear Koko.
