but frankly it's been many many moons since i heard muzak. i think most retailers are and have been using commercial pop instead.
but that makes me wonder about the musicians of muzak and to broaden it further library music, as in generic tunes that have been recorded and are now in the public domain. i remember back in the day when muzak would be piped into movie theaters before the curtains parted to the trailers and cartoons then the features. and i used to imagine these old men from the vaudville era still cranking out notes to be played almost anywhere.
