I have no idea how the internet works.
there have been times when my e-mail service has been down for one reason or another. abt an hour ago I found I was unable to even retrieve Microsoft Outlook. when I click on the icon nothing happens. this is a first. & of course frustrating.

my solution to any computer "malfunction" is to turn off the machine. most often a simple reboot solves my problems. & it just did again.
Years ago I was known as a computer wizard at work almost solely based on my advice to reboot. I had a few other tricks, but the reboot almost always worked.
