That's lovely. In the late 1980s I did a great deal of painting (oil & watercolor), and one thing I remember from that time is that trying to establish an idea took so much paint, but once I had blocked everything out and was working well, I used less than half the volume of paint.

Much greater focus and efficiency at that point.
