Good that you and your neighbor can both depend on each other, etc. That was what my grandmother's little town in Pennsylvania was like in the 60s. Your neighbor WAS your responsbility. There were no strangers.
I saw the photos Phil has (was loooking for Circo, or Cico ... the dog). It's a wonderful group you have. I'm something of a map aficionado (Google Earth, NASA World Wind, etc.), so it was nice to see street shots of the area, as I had already located your home on the map.

you cd've made a video of it Bill. there were some funny moments. toward the end the pails of dirt from the bottom of the hole seemd to get heavier.
& yes I'm blessd to have Rita & Phil as neighbors. we look out for each other. just like when I grew up in Elyria.

yes those satellite maps are amazing. if I'd been in my backyard when they were taken you'd even have seen me.
